My friends and I had a wonderful time at the Paradise Peak cruising around Halong Bay. They provide first class service, great food (we must have gained a few pounds), great staff, and nice and quiet cove to park at night, rooms are lovely with rose petals on the bed.
We went for a one night cruise on Paradise cruises and the boat was just beautiful. Our room was lovely, we didn't have a balcony but we had an enormous bathroom with a lovely big spa which was a bit of a bonus. Lunch was a lovely buffet and dinner a 5 course affair, all delicious. The staff were a little off the mark when we were there as there were several trainees but the activities, swimming, island stops and kayaking were all great fun. Drinks are very expensive so if you are planning on drinking much I'd take some aboard. Would seriously consider doing the 2 night tour next time
On our third visit to Halong Bay we spend one night on a Paradise Peak Cruise vessel - what an experience! Very well designed, luxurious, pleasant and well trained staff - and exceptional food. Cabins are very well proportioned and beautifully fitted out, most with a small balcony and good bathroom facilities. Sightseeing and activity programmes very good - though might be a good idea to have correctly printed out programme for guests in their cabins! (The receptionist struggled to get us the correct programme and in the end we had to make do with one she printed out with many penned in notes, etc.) All in all though a very pleasant experience and one that comes very highly recommended
probably the most expensive cruise but so definately worth it....the best boat, the best food the best service....couldnt fault it at all......and would recommend it to anyoneone who wants a bit of luxury in their lives!
we recently spent 3 days on the paradise cruise line. Everything was great here. My family with 2 kids(10,13) really enjoyed the cruise. halong bay is very beautiful. what sets paradise cruise apart from the other boats is that it docks from its own island, unlike all the other boats jumbled together on shore. The boat seemed to get to the excursions quicker than the other boats so there were no real traffic or crowds. The food was good. We enjoyed the breakfast a lot. The dinner was also good, but it was a set menu so you couldn't choose what you wanted. The staff were really friendly. The cruise manager charlie was really nice and made sure everything was up to satisfaction. I would highly suggest to do the 3 day instead of the 2 day. I think the 2 day is not long enough to see all of halong bay. on our boat there was another couple that went with us the extra day of excursion. The extra day, we actually go on another boat, and travel to an island where we do a lot of kayaking(especially through caves), and bicycling on an island visiting an old village. If you have the time definitely do 3 days. the boat was new and clean. wake up early for tai chi lessons, and great time to take pictures of the peaceful bay around sunrise. becareful of jellyfish in the bay, atleast when we were there. overall great cruise. more expensive, but worth it.
boat is beautiful and we were upgraded to a suite. the staff was exceedingly friendly, and had activities to fill the time. the food was really weak for this price point though... and they need a kid-free boat. it's not romantic to have a five year old running wild during your candlelight dinner.
