The Emerraude Suite
At 19.5 square metres, the luxurious Emeraude Suite is roomy enough for a queen-sized bed, as well as a large sofa and space to entertain, which makes it a favourite with families.
Its cream and green colour scheme adds warmth and nostalgia to the wooden fixtures and flooring. A sundeck location on the starboard side and ample windows deliver wide views across the bay.
Outside, an adjacent sitting area is the perfect place to enjoy a drink or relax and marvel at the passing scenery.
The Paul Roque Suite
Named after the original Emeraude's first owner, this was the vessel's suite.
At nearly 16-square metres, it is the smallest of the three but has a trump card. The popularity of the Paul Roque Suite remains unrivalled due to a private deck. The deck features both sun loungers and chairs for uninterrupted relaxation.
Its situation on the bow's upper deck adds to a feeling of unhurried, truly tranquil travel.
Inside, comfortable chairs, a rug and checked wall coverings add to the "golden age" feel.
Wide windows ensure fabulous views.
34 Duluxe And Superior Cabins
Emeraude's twin and double rooms each feature innerspring mattresses to ensure a comfortable night's sleep.
Each room is equipped with all the necessary amenities, from air conditioning to hot showers.
Ultimately, the greatest attraction remains outside your cabin door. Each room opens directly onto the deck.
Superior rooms are located on lower deck with deluxe rooms on the upper deck.
Room to Relax
Space, privacy and relaxation are themes that run throughout the Emeraude.
On the main and upper decks, there are a number of quiet seating areas. And there's always an opportunity to stretch out on a sundeck lounger.

This is the first time for me to go on cruise. Great experience! I love the feeling of sitting on the sundeck, relaxing with some drinks. Fresh air, beautiful lanscape, friendly people will make you forget your busy life
A cruise on the Emeraude is expertly marketed as an exquisite experience. It stays true to it's promise. The boat is a lovingly restored vessel, and is maintained very well by its owners (and staff). Although the bigger wooden junk-like vessels competing with it might look better sailing through the bay, you feel that you are in a very special vessel that provides an experience that is equally special as well. The staff were really attentive during our stay. We traveled on a weekday so there were few guests on our cruise so they had few people to mind. But the number was good enough to get us a buffet instead of sit-down served meals. Apparently, they only do buffets if guests number more than 14. In our case, we were 16 all in all. So the advice given on traveling to Ha Long Bay was right after all --- avoid weekends, but on the Emeraude, pray that there are more than 14 guests. Anna, the staff purser, was really pleasant and took time to talk to us and find out how she can make our experience better. The rest if her staff were also quite helpful throughout. We took part in the excursions and wow, they were expertly organized! Because of this, we appreciated the nature of ha long bay (trip to the caves were good) and its culture (floating village was a revelation) much more. We didn't join the spring roll cooking class, the movie, and the tai chi (too cold on our day of travel) but I'm sure they were executed well too. Overall, it was a quiet, relaxing time. I highly recommend the Emeraude Ha Long Bay experience
we booked this 2 days and 1 night tour to Ha Long bay. the itinerary is cruised along the bay to see amazing karts with different forms; lion, tea pot, toad, human head islets and then stop to visit the Sung Sot amazing cave..the biggest one in Ha Long bay. We also did kayak for about 1 hour, dinner and over night on board the tour also including breakfast and lunch and dinner. on a boat we're join with other tourists too from other countries. it's just good to meet other people. we talked about our countries, culture, food, and others. in fact our friends from Korea would like to visit Jakarta next month after from Vietnam, so it was really nice sharing with them.
We travelled as a family on the Emeraude vessel . we spent two days and one night aboard. The scenery in Halong bay just has to be seen to be appreciated. If we had the choice we would have spend an additional night aboard. If ther is a criticism of the vessel, it would be that they dont provide snacks between meals and we found ourselves getting a little hungry. The meals were great. Drinks are a little pricey. Also you must be aware of jelly fish, when swimming.. and perhaps the vessel should allow more time for swimming. But a great experience
Our family, 2 adults and 2 teenagers travelled through Vietnam in December and ended up in Halong Bay. It was fantastic and we had very good guides with excellent English. We had the 2 bedroom boat to ourselves and the staff shouted us a free bottle of wine on Xmas eve. They also took us to places the other boats weren't and gave us choices of activities, for example we didn't see monkeys so they offered to take us to monkey island. The rooms were simple and the food deliciously fresh although there was a lot of fried food. Although the boat was small this enabled it to get to places the bigger boats can't go. This was a highlight of our trip and great value for money.
It is heavenly gem on earth of this small country. We do really like – love and impressive with its natural beauty and clean – fresh air. With me, even can spend over 10 times to travel around here all over again with my lovely family member and best pals
there are so many cruises in halong bay. but i am sure that i stayed in the best one. it was absolutely right choice !! food was better than any fancy restaurants in hanoi, and all crews are very kind and devoted to the guest.
Most of the cruise companies appear to go to pretty much the same places and anchor at the same places in the evening. One benefit of not being on the expensive tours cruises is that you get to see, appreciate and photograph they're great looking boats more than the people who have paid fortune to be on them.
