Halong Bay Cruise ship Bhaya was inspired by the majestic luxury of the ships used by Vietnam's Imperial Emporers. To ease themselves of the lofty worries of imperial reign and the constant plotting and counter-plotting of the imperial court, Vietnam's Emporers would seek the isolated safety and seclusion of their imperial vessels. Halong Bay has always been a favorite destination. Launched in July 2007, the first Bhaya cruise ship features twenty luxurious cabins furnished in classical style. I just did in March 2012 a 2 day cruise with Bhaya and it was very good. The only drawback was that the cabin did not have a balcony like in the pictures but the service was very good. Our host was excellent and the activities were very nice. Specially the biking in Cat Ba island was very good (although the bycicles could be better but just Vietnam standard). The dinners were remarkably good. Specially the desserts!

Piceked the two day one night trip, the transfer to the boat from hanoi was 4 hours but was very comfortable at 2 persons per row in the van. i saw other companies packing way more onto a van. the boat was very clean and did not look worn out. there was about 30+ on the boat but never felt overly crowded. the rooms were nice and modern, and resembled more of a hotel than a room on a boat. the only problem encountered was that the bathroom had an odor that resembled a portapotty even though it looked clean. had to be sprayed down three times by staff before it was bearable. expected more seafood - crab/seafood. was served mostly shrimp/fish.

    very good Halong Bay Vietnam
    9

I'm very satisfied! Bhaya provided just the very best. Visitors to Hanoi must at least do this day trip to Halong Bay. It is a few hours by bus to get there, but it is a wonderful experience to sail around the bay, taking in the scenery of another wonderful place. A meal is provided on the boat, and the locals also come to the boat with fresh fruit and drinks. Visitors can also visit the floating villages, and have an opportunity to kayak on the bay. It is important to choose a clear dry day as the bay is often covered with a mist/fog, which adds a certain mystery to the excursion. Visitors are enjoying a wonderful place nature has created for a perfect relaxation

very good don't miss HALONG when you have chance to Vietnam
    9

Halong Bay cruise is something every tourist should do. The scenery is just beautiful - the island formations, the quaint floating fishing villages, the caves etc. We went for two days [one night] and that was good for us, but could imagine it would not be enough for some. It's a three hour trip by bus to Halong from Hanoi, but worth it to see life along the way. The boat we went on Bhaya III was crewed by delightful people and the food was delicious and beautifully presented. Don't miss it if you go to Vietnam.
